Act now Oregon! 📣 On Tuesday, February 10, the House Committee on Health Care will hold a hearing on HB 4155.

What is HB 4155?

HB 4155 would require large group insurers and benefit programs for Oregon’s educators to cover fertility services and treatments. This pro-family bill is a critical first step toward broader, more comprehensive fertility coverage for Oregonians. To keep it moving forward, we need as many voices as possible speaking up.

Here’s how you can help:

✔️ Email the Oregon House Committee on Health Care using our action alert

✔️ Submit written testimony by February 12 at 3 PM so lawmakers hear directly from the people impacted.

More Than celebrates the whole person behind the diagnosis and amplifies the diversity of paths, identities, cultures, and families navigating infertility. It’s also a call for more, more access, more education, more representation, and more support, so every story can be seen and heard.

This NIAW, RESOLVE urges advocates, providers, policymakers, and the media to lift up stories that show the barriers we face, the information needed to make decisions about how to build our families, and reduce the shame and stigma from society. When we do this together, we build understanding, solidarity, and collective advocacy, and when we show the full picture, change becomes possible.

HB 328 is moving forward. If passed, HB 328 would include infertility treatment services as an Essential Health Benefit (EHB) in Virginia’s benchmark plan starting in 2029.
Essential Health Benefits are critical services that certain health insurance plans under the Affordable Care Act must cover. Including infertility treatment services as Essential Health Benefits would provide thousands of Virginians with the chance to build their families.

Nebraska’s LB1148 brings that clarity. It updates outdated laws and ensures every family is seen and protected, specifically for families using IVF, surrogacy, or donor conception. The hearing is this Friday. Lawmakers need to hear from you now.

IVF is once again under threat in South Carolina.

On January 14, lawmakers will hear a bill (H. 3537) that could legally define a fertilized egg as a person, putting fertility care and IVF at serious risk.

Last year, thousands of South Carolinians came together to stop a similar bill. Now, we need even more voices to keep IVF legal and accessible. H. 3537 could stop doctors from safely practicing IVF. It could take away the chance for thousands of families to grow.

Last week, when IVF coverage for military families was left out of the final National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), RESOLVE and our advocacy partners sent out a call to action to let Speaker Johnson understand the impact this would have. We have an update: your voices were heard.

In response to this devastating blow for our military families, Rep. Sara Jacobs and Rep. Chrissy Houlahan, joined by bipartisan partners Rep. Jennifer Kiggans and Rep. Nick LaLota have introduced a new bill with the same IVF language that was in the NDAA.

We’re grateful for their leadership and for every advocate who answered our call to action. This fight for our military families is not over. No service member should have to choose between serving their country and building their family.

RESOLVE will keep pushing until military families have the care they need and deserve.

“Oof, this one hits hard. My husband and I recently discussed whether we should pursue IVF, and the answer was YES! But then I think about the financial strain and the toll it could take on my body. Should we skip IUI and go straight to IVF? Is it even worth trying another round of IUI? We’ve been on a break from fertility meds for the last two months, and it’s been so freeing, but there are days when I feel like I’m missing out. The grief hits harder than ever, and it’s frustrating and overwhelming.”
